Christian Education

Trinity’s Christian Education programs include Sunday Church School for preschoolers and an Adult Bible Study conducted before the 10:00 AM Sunday worship service. Additional Christian educational programs are in development stages.

Youth Group

The Trinity Youth Group is open to children first grade and up. Meetings are held in the early evening and consist of games, craft projects, and preparation for service projects, with a healthy dose of age-appropriate Christian Education and fun. Group members are encouraged to bring friends along. Check the calendar for dates and times.

Women of Trinity

Our Women of Trinity group meets regularly for Bible Study and fellowship. Bible Study is announced in the bulletin and at services and all are welcome to come and bring friends and a bagged lunch. The leaders provide beverages and dessert. Participants enjoy lively conversation and fellowship. All are welcome!

In addition to Bible study and fellowship, the Women of Trinity sponsors our Prayers and Squares Quilt Ministry. Each Wednesday morning finds a talented group of sewing enthusiasts diligently working to design and create prayer quilts for members of the congregation and community who are sick or in some special need. The quilts and their recipients are then blessed and prayed over by the congregation at a worship service and delivered to warm the bodies and hearts of their recipients.

Check the calendar for dates and times or email the church office.

Senior Programs

Trinity sponsors “Fun for Seniors” activities throughout the year. Most Wednesdays find a group enjoying a Balance and Strength Chair Exercise Class in mid-day. Various seasonal activities, such as pumpkin-painting, wreath- and ornament-making, and Easter crafts, are scheduled through the year. Other events include bingo, gardening design, and “Brain Games” trivia are held at the church and outings such as group lunches at local restaurants bring seniors together. These events are open to members of the church and the community. They are free but donations are gladly accepted. Check the calendar for dates and times.

Choir

Trinity’s choir leads us in song for all worship services September through May, helping us to make a joyful noise. Music selections vary from traditional to contemporary. Anyone can join the choir. During the fall, winter, and spring, the choir practices at 7:00 PM on Wednesday evenings and before the 10:00 AM Sunday Worship Service. Speak with our Organist and Director of the Music Ministry, Jeremy Prostka, about joining the choir.

Joining Trinity

Now that you’ve gotten to know us through our website, we hope you’ll join us for worship here in Clarks Summit. If you’ve visited Trinity a few times and feel ready to connect more deeply with other Christians and continue growing in your faith, we invite you to become part of our congregation.

Membership at Trinity Lutheran Church is open to all who share our confession of faith in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. When you’re ready to join, simply email the church office (office@trinityluthcs.com) or use the Contact Us form on our website to request a membership registration form. After you return the form, a member of the congregation will contact you to confirm your desire to join. Your membership becomes official once the Church Council approves it and records it in the church’s membership records.

Members must have received the Sacrament of Holy Baptism—either here at Trinity or previously in the name of the Triune God. Members must also be confirmed, whether through Confirmation at Trinity, adult baptism, transfer from another Lutheran congregation, or affirmation of faith. Only confirmed members may vote at congregational meetings.
