Welcome to
the Trinity
Lutheran
Church
Sunday
school information page. We invite
you to join us as we engage in study every Sunday morning throughout the school
year. Our classes begin at 9:30 AM
and
conclude at 10:15 AM for ages
three thru eighth grade.
This year we are
continuation the use of the Akaloo curriculum.
This is a very comprehensive educational program we are using in order to
teach our young followers to grow in faith and become Disciples of Christ.
This program offers classroom lessons, games, art, music, study, drama,
and online games that may be played at home to reinforce the weekly lessons.
Come and Akaloo with us!
We fall into our annual Sunday School Open House every autumn.
It is during this event that we invite our parents, congregation, and
community to join us in the celebration of our Sunday school.
We share songs, skits, art, and our studies with all those attending.
The date of our Fall 2010 OPEN HOUSE will be announced shortly.
Every year our Sunday school students have been encouraged to support
community groups with donations ranging from hats and gloves for the members of
Friendship House, clothing and food for the United
Neighborhood Centers, support of
the Ronald McDonald House of Scranton as well as the Angel Tree project for
United Cerebral Palsy.
Our Sunday school children share the joy of the birth of our Savior with
the annual Christmas Nativity Pageant on Christmas Eve.
Every Sunday school student is given the opportunity to be in our
program. It is a performance that
the congregation looks forward to every year.
Trinity offers many programs for its young followers.
Come and share in the joy as we grow, follow and learn at Trinity.

Our seventh and eighth grade students also participate in evening classes
in confirmation studies. The
completion the studies is followed by confirmation on the Festival of Pentecost.

The Junior and Senior High youth groups meet under the direction of our
Director of Youth Ministry, Heather Klien. Our youth meet regularly to explore
ideas as well as just being able to discuss relationships with God and how they
are affected by these relationships. These
discussions are important to this particular age group as they are preparing for
their lives as adults. These
students take part in activities that have been coordinated by the youth
director such as community service,
hosting holiday events, enjoying lock ins, engaging in fun activities like
miniature golf, bowling, and Knoebels and serving God by serving others.
Students are always encouraged to bring a friend to participate in our
activities and events. Please contact Heather Klien at HeatherKlienTLC@cs.com
for more information.
